Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “Perfect, does high traffic areas last, very smart and affordable, if you do 2 sweep it gets everything, 1 sweep gets most things for me, I have two kids, and a dog. It’s amazing. Love the schedule option too I am currently out taking my dog to the groomers, no issues. Cleans very well. Super worth the price. 🤩I love how easy setup was, and how easy it was to use. And it really sucks up all sorts of stuff. You can make it very quiet, or if you need the extra power make it up to as loud as it goes, still not as loud as a traditional vacuum. Also mopped up muddy prints like nothing.”

Customer Review: “I bought this solely for my backyard and I only wish I’d bought it sooner! The set up was easy just a little time consuming but worth it. Mower does an amazing job and for the price if it would only last one summer it would be worth it.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “just upgraded to this machine and this thing is outstanding. everything worked perfectly right out of the box! i was worried about the hills in my yard but the awd handles slopes like it’s nothing. best part is the wire-free setup—the 3d lidar and ai mapping is super smart and didn’t take long to map out my whole property, honestly i never have to touch my lawn again lol, a huge time saver!”

Customer Review: “The thing that sold me on this was the over 20 minute video showing exactly how to train and use this. It addressed all of my questions and concerns.I wanted a robot mower with lidar or really good mapping equipment, because of my weirdly shaped and separate lawns. Now that I have mapped my lawns and used the mower, I have some thoughts.Pros: The hardware is very capable of driving itself. The software is great and pretty intuitive. It seems to do a decent job mowing the lawn.Cons: the wheel motors have insufficient torque, and because they’re rear wheel drive with low bumpers, it gets stuck on hills.Be warned, if you have some tall weeds like dandelions or grass patches that grow faster, you might need to disable the lidar obstacle recognition temporarily. Also, you might need to trim the lawn edges by hand.Overall, I’d say this is worth it for the right situation.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I am so delighted we went with the Ecovacs Goat. Some pertinent background; we live in Florida and let me tell you with our daily summer rainstorms our grass needs to be cut every 5 days or so. We only have grass in the front and on the sides of the house. The grass covers just under 1/4 acre.Set up out of the box was intuitive and pretty easy, in my opinion. I should note I do not consider myself exceptionally tech savvy either. I was able to sync with my home WiFi in under a minute. The unit updated for about 10 minutes and then it was time to sync with the satellites. The process was simple, the first time it only synced with 19 satellites but it was super easy to restart the process. The second time around I made sure I was more than 2 feet away. Worked like a charm!Once I had the unit synced with satellites. It was time to map our property. I found the process rather intuitive and honestly quite quick for what was taking place. After mapping was complete I let the robot charge to full and decided to run it for a cut. The robot did a beautiful job. Our lawn looked as good as if we had used the push mower ourselves.I really like that this ecovacs model doesn’t have a perimeter wire. I can’t imagine how time and energy intensive installing a perimeter wire might be. The real time GPS navigation is working flawlessly for us.Another cool feature is the LiDAR to detect obstacles and the subsequently avoid the obstacles. Our oldest son had left a hose out during a mow that we missed. The ecovacs robot avoided the hose thus saving us an expense replacing it.The ecovacs robot is surprisingly quiet, magnitudes upon magnitudes quieter than our push mower. It also has a zero cutting edge which actually works, we definitely will not have to edge every time we mow with how good this robot mows edges. The app is amazing and so easy to use. I can customize zones and schedule mowings all from the comfort of my house when I have a spare minute. Battery life was more than enough to finish mowing our whole lawn in one charge. Overall I am beyond delighted with the performance of this robot mower for all the reasons mentioned. I really did not find anything worthy of a complaint.”

Customer Review: “The Best robotic mower I ever seen!First , the packaging:It came very well packaged and organized, everything wrapped and put together in a way that makes it easy to unwrap and get going! The instructions:Super clear and easy to follow. Plus when you download the app you get a short guide that is easy to follow. At first it might look like a lot of parts but it’s really not bad at all. Took me 10 mins to put together. The calibration:I would say this was tricky at first but only because my backyard has a weird shape that at first it wasn’t connecting, but when I moved thing around it connected instantly. I think the robot has to be facing the stick thing in a certain way like shown in the picture. The functionality:It starts with the mapping and then it quickly starts mowing, the map is pretty precise and clear and you can make zones. The trimming is pretty close to perfect, it does the work in a very organized fashion missing barely any spot. I say almost because the first ran it missed a small area, but when I ran it again it took care of it.Bonus features:I love that you can track the progress real time and you can literally view the progress using a front camera that comes in a really good quality.Overall thoughts:I am very pleased with THE GOAT, it’s gonna save me a lot of time and energy and it’s definitely worth the price for me,”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “The media could not be loaded. This mower is honestly pretty wild. It’s one of those products that feels like it’s trying to replace mowing completely. No wires, no pushing, just set it up and let it handle your yard. The biggest thing that stands out is the navigation. It uses RTK and LiDAR, which basically means it maps your yard really accurately and moves in clean lines instead of randomly bumping around. It can connect to a bunch of satellites and get super precise positioning, so it should cover everything evenly without missing spots. It’s also got good cutting power. It has a dual blade system and 32V motor. It can cover a pretty large area pretty quickly. It’s designed for yards around half an acre but if you have a smaller yard it still works well. Plus the trimming gets pretty close and very nifty. Saves me a ton of time!Another thing I like is how hands off it is. You can set schedules, zones and basically let it run on its own. It even goes back to charge when needed and keeps going after. It say it’s super convenient and keeps the lawn looking clean without much effort. It also handles slopes pretty well and can deal with more complex yards, which is nice if your lawn isn’t perfectly flat. It is one of those set it and forget it products. If you hate mowing or just don’t have time, something like this could save you a ton of effort and keep your yard looking consistently good without much work.”

Customer Review: “I purchased this lawnmower for my backyard. Since I have a 1-acre property, cutting the grass is a big task. Instead of hiring a company, I decided to invest in this machine. It was a bit expensive for my budget, but once I saw how well it works, it felt worth every penny.Right out of the box, it’s a solid and well-built machine. I downloaded the app to map my yard, and once that was done, it started working on its own. Because my yard is big, the mower automatically returns to its charging station when the battery runs low, then resumes cutting once it’s recharged. My grandkids often leave toys and balls in the yard, but the mower detects obstacles and navigates around them easily. It also does a great job cutting around trees and along corners. The blades are sharp and the performance is powerful.I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now with no complaints. Initially, I had some trouble mapping the yard, but customer service through the app was quick and very helpful. The representative guided me through the process, which gave me confidence in the company’s after-sales support. There’s also an option in the app to create multiple maps, which is a great feature.Overall, I’ve had a great experience with this lawnmower and hope it lasts for a long time.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can a robot lawn mower really handle a full acre?

A: Yes, many modern robot lawn mowers are designed to cover areas up to one acre or even more. Look for models specifically stating their maximum coverage area, and consider their battery life and recharge times to ensure they can complete the job efficiently in one cycle or with minimal interruptions.

Q: Do I need a boundary wire for a one-acre lawn?

A: Not necessarily. Many advanced robot mowers use GPS, RTK, or LiDAR navigation systems that create a virtual boundary, eliminating the need for physical perimeter wires. This can significantly simplify installation and maintenance, especially for larger or complex yards.

Q: How much maintenance is required for a robot lawn mower?

A: While robot mowers automate mowing, they still require some basic maintenance. This includes cleaning the deck and blades regularly, checking for wear and tear, and updating software when available. It’s generally far less labor-intensive than traditional mowing.

Q: Can robot lawn mowers handle uneven terrain or slopes?

A: Many robot mowers are designed to handle slopes, with capabilities varying by model (e.g., up to 35-45% incline). For very steep or uneven terrain, it’s crucial to check the manufacturer’s specifications and consider models with good traction and hill-climbing abilities, perhaps even all-wheel drive.

Q: How do robot lawn mowers handle obstacles like trees or toys?

A: Most robot lawn mowers are equipped with sensors to detect obstacles. Advanced models use AI vision and LiDAR to identify and navigate around objects like toys, garden furniture, and even pets, preventing damage and ensuring safety.
