Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Totally worth it. Not gonna lie, instructions could have been a bit better, which would have saved me an hour of the 4 it took to put together. Otherwise, I did it myself (58 yo woman with knee probs). Easy to ignite. Plenty of cooking space for 4-8 people. Great value for the price. Recomend.
Customer Review: This is a good quality gas grill. Perfect size for me and nice price. The reason for the 4 stars is cause the igniter is junk. Gotta use a Bic. Also the assembly man had a snafu that required me to take some of it back apart and go back. If you are not up for spending hrs putting something together, go to Home Depot. Been using it for 2 mos now. Nice grill…

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Great grill! The price is awesome. Charbroil has really upped their quality! π Very Impressed!
Customer Review: Bought this grill for my dirt bike trail riding/racing trips. Most riding places here in the PNW only allow gas cooking as the fire hazard increases when the riding season approaches. We went to the desert 100 race with a small charcoal pit only to find out that we couldn’t use it. Everyone else there had some type of gas cooking devise, griddles, pits, etc… Soooo….I bought this one. I’ve only used it once as I just got it. I put it to the test with chicken thighs, bone in and skin on. Heat distribution – This seems fine but as with all pits you’ll have some hot spots. Nothing too crazy on this one though. My hot spots are where the darker chicken thighs are towards the front and one small one towards the back. See the 3rd picture. The pit ran a little hot on low, again nothing crazy but just a bit hot in my opinion, it cooked the chicken pretty quick. Cooked the chicken to 203 F and skin was nice and crispy with only one flip. Kept the lid on it and flame ups were zero and it only flamed up when I opened the lid. A quick spray with a water filled spray bottle worked perfectly. The heat shield/drip shield worked like a champ. I think keeping the heat/drip shield clean will be the key in avoiding flame ups. I didn’t time the cook so I’m guessing here. I think it took less than 25 minutes to cook the 4 pieces of chicken. I started with a full little propane bottle and when done I felt like it only used maybe a quarter or so of propane, plenty leftover to do more cooking. Pretty good consumption rate. I didn’t not run the pit on high for 10 to 15 minutes prior to cooking! To me this pit gets way too hot for that, I did run it on low until the smoke stopped, I guess it was burning off the manufacturing preservation oil. I did set up a board to block the wind however I took it down after the pictures and the pit did fine, wind was only 2 to 4 mph, so not much. Overall – Great pit so far, I think I’m going to really like it!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This is a review of the CharBroil Bistro Pro gas grill, model number 25302161. This grill comes with a short hose (18 inches long including the connectors) to connect to a 20-pound propane bottle. There is a recess on the bottom shelf of the grill that the propane bottle can sit in, which is very handy for storage. Neither the product description nor the owner’s manual tell you the details of the propane hose. One end of it has a QCC-1 quick connector that screws by hand onto a 20-pound propane bottle, and the regulator is right behind that connector. The other end has a 3/8 inch female flare fitting that comes already attached to the grill piping. I have included photos of the 3/8 flare connection and the venturi housing. I think it is great to have the regulator on the hose instead of inside the grill because it makes it easy to change if it begins to fail. You just buy a new hose with regulator and attach it to the grill. The Hooshing 3 Foot Propane Hose with Regulator is an example. The Bistro Pro is designed to use either propane or charcoal. However, I have not used the charcoal option. I have only used it in propane mode. In the attached photos you can see the flame the grill produces on the high setting. Normally a thin metal heat tent covers the flame, but I have removed it to take the pictures you see, and I also keep it removed for grilling. The grill gets quite hot. According to the built-in thermometer it reaches 500 degrees on low and 700 degrees on high. The grill comes with an unusual cooking grate that is two inches thick. You can see a picture of it in my photos. It tends to moderate the heat of the flame somewhat and it is difficult to clean. The diameter of this grate is 18-1/2 inches. That is a common grate diameter for several other brands of grills. This means that you can find a grate to replace the one that comes with the Bistro Pro if you don’t like that one. I bought one made by LavaLock and you can see it in the pictures. It has two long handles and does not hinge open. There is also a secondary grate that mounts below the main one (not shown in my pictures), closer to the burner, that is 16-7/16 inches in diameter. It is meant to hold charcoal that can be lighted with the propane burner. I’m pleased with the way the CharBroil grills a steak. A one inch thick T-bone grilled 6 minutes per side comes out medium rare and juicy.
Customer Review: This BBQ is almost unique, with a feature I’ve not found anywhere else. Most BBQs have a grill that lets nearly all of the heat through, which in chicken is a nice setup for a grease fire. This BBQ has a grating that disperses the heat much more evenly and significantly reduces the chance of grease problems. IMHO, **much** better than “flavor bars…particularly because of the second feature that’s cool. This BBQ allows for a combination of gas and charcoal firing, which means you get a nice smoky flavor (and not the “chernobyl chicken” you get with most BBQs) that you can modify with different choices of wood. I owned the previous model of this BBQ and used it for 15 years. I think this one may last even longer, as it’s thicker metal.
