Customer Review: “I was between the Orion X7 and the Luba mower. I decided on the Orion based off reviews and capabilities the Orion offers. I needed a mower that could manage a small hill in my backyard, but also manage different areas of my yard since it has several “islands” of grass.First off, I received the mower 2 days after ordering! It took about 2 hours for me to install. I followed the directions in the app, and I couldn’t figure out how to connect the robot to the internet, so I watched their YouTube video “Sunseeker ORION X7: Step-by-Step Installation Guide” (SUPER helpful). Setting up mowing zones was very easy, and I LOVE how it mows in rows.It looks like Sunseeker pushes updates frequently in their app, so I am excited to see what other options are going to be available. So far, obstacle avoidance has worked perfectly (we always have a ball or some toy in the yard). RTK was easy to connect to. Cuts almost my whole yard in one charge, but I also have a mix of grasses and the hill which will obviously use more battery to navigate.Overall, very impressed. I like how they put their dealer info on their website so if there are any issues, I can call them for a quicker response. It is very quiet, I hardly realize it is even there. Being in the South, I am SO happy I don’t have to mow in 95 degree weather anymore! Recommending to all my friends and family!”

I’ve got a side yard that I have to pass over my driveway, through a gate and up some steps, then across the entire length of the pool and patio to get to when I have to mow. Not fun, so I bought this guy to save me from having to haul my mower around that way.This thing is all app based, and the app is super robust and runs well. Initial set up requires mapping your yard, and you can either use its auto mode for that or you can drive the thing around yourself like a remote control car. I highly recommend the latter, it’s pretty fun! The app records the map and then you’re ready to mow. I was shocked by how quiet this thing is, even had to check that it was doing anything! It’s honestly about as loud as a remote control car, even when it’s cutting some grass. Cutting performance is solid, and it does it consistently by following a back and forth path across your yard just like you’d do if you were mowing. It does well with obstacles and uneven terrain, I haven’t had to rescue it or anything.The base is easy to move around so you can find the right spot and the power cable to reach your outlet is like 30 feet long or more, it seems like it’s long enough for most situations. You can put it on a schedule or run it any time through the app. In the app you can monitor its progress, see statistics, change settings, etc.It’s a big investment, but if you’ve got a good use for it then I think you’ll end up pretty happy getting one!”

Setup was very easy; fortunately, this lawn mower did not have any beacons or any wires around the perimeter. Lidar quickly maps the whole lawn without too much effort. It comes with auto mapping mode, which can mark the boundaries by itself, and the only thing he had to do was map the neighbors’ boundaries. The Goat 01000 cuts consistently all across the entire lawn, even tho my lawn inst really leveled and has a good amount of slope. It hasn’t gotten stuck or run over any of the obstacles. Battery life easily covers about 1/4 acres and also charges quickly. Great product works really well, it’s a solid investment for saving time and money if you pay others to do it. The price might seem to be high, but getting my dad those weekend hours is worth the cost.”

Some pertinent background; we live in Florida and let me tell you with our daily summer rainstorms our grass needs to be cut every 5 days or so. We only have grass in the front and on the sides of the house. The grass covers just under 1/4 acre.Set up out of the box was intuitive and pretty easy, in my opinion. I should note I do not consider myself exceptionally tech savvy either. I was able to sync with my home WiFi in under a minute. The unit updated for about 10 minutes and then it was time to sync with the satellites. The process was simple, the first time it only synced with 19 satellites but it was super easy to restart the process. The second time around I made sure I was more than 2 feet away. Worked like a charm!Once I had the unit synced with satellites. It was time to map our property. I found the process rather intuitive and honestly quite quick for what was taking place. After mapping was complete I let the robot charge to full and decided to run it for a cut. The robot did a beautiful job. Our lawn looked as good as if we had used the push mower ourselves.I really like that this ecovacs model doesn’t have a perimeter wire. I can’t imagine how time and energy intensive installing a perimeter wire might be. The real time GPS navigation is working flawlessly for us.Another cool feature is the LiDAR to detect obstacles and the subsequently avoid the obstacles. Our oldest son had left a hose out during a mow that we missed. The ecovacs robot avoided the hose thus saving us an expense replacing it.The ecovacs robot is surprisingly quiet, magnitudes upon magnitudes quieter than our push mower. It also has a zero cutting edge which actually works, we definitely will not have to edge every time we mow with how good this robot mows edges.The app is amazing and so easy to use. I can customize zones and schedule mowings all from the comfort of my house when I have a spare minute. Battery life was more than enough to finish mowing our whole lawn in one charge. Overall I am beyond delighted with the performance of this robot mower for all the reasons mentioned. I really did not find anything worthy of a complaint.”

Customer Review: “The Best robotic mower I ever seen!First , the packaging:It came very well packaged and organized, everything wrapped and put together in a way that makes it easy to unwrap and get going!The instructions:Super clear and easy to follow. Plus when you download the app you get a short guide that is easy to follow. At first it might look like a lot of parts but it’s really not bad at all. Took me 10 mins to put together.The calibration:I would say this was tricky at first but only because my backyard has a weird shape that at first it wasn’t connecting, but when I moved thing around it connected instantly. I think the robot has to be facing the stick thing in a certain way like shown in the picture.The functionality:It starts with the mapping and then it quickly starts mowing, the map is pretty precise and clear and you can make zones. The trimming is pretty close to perfect, it does the work in a very organized fashion missing barely any spot. It addressed all of my questions and concerns.I wanted a robot mower with lidar or really good mapping equipment, because of my weirdly shaped and separate lawns.Now that I have mapped my lawns and used the mower, I have some thoughts.Pros: The hardware is very capable of driving itself. The software is great and pretty intuitive. It seems to do a decent job mowing the lawn.Cons: the wheel motors have insufficient torque, and because they’re rear wheel drive with low bumpers, it gets stuck on hills.Be warned, if you have some tall weeds like dandelions or grass patches that grow faster, you might need to disable the lidar obstacle recognition temporarily.Also, you might need to trim the lawn edges by hand.Overall, I’d say this is worth it for the right situation.”
